Adidas unveils Home of Sport concept store in Mumbai

Adidas inaugurated its innovative Home Of Sport concept store in Mumbai, marking a significant expansion in the Indian retail market. Situated on the bustling Linking Road, the standalone store occupies an impressive retail space spanning 6,307 square feet across four floors.

Embracing the vibrant essence of Mumbai’s culture, Adidas intricately weaves local influences into the store’s design. From meticulously crafted carpets inspired by Paithani art to captivating visuals paying homage to the city’s fervor for cricket, every detail resonates with the spirit of the metropolis.

“Mumbai, say hello to our newest Home Of Sport Concept Store! The store features the first-ever RUN LAB in India, designed to help consumers find their perfect running shoes. Over in the MADE FOR YOU zone, consumers can co-create unique designs in collaboration with local artists and our store team,” Adidas announced in a LinkedIn post.

Dedicated to catering to diverse preferences, the store features an exclusive women’s section alongside a dedicated shop-in-shop showcasing Adidas Originals. Furthermore, it proudly hosts Mumbai’s first Y-3 shop-in-shop, offering enthusiasts a curated selection of avant-garde fashion.

This milestone moment reflects Adidas’ enduring commitment to the Indian market, a journey that commenced in 1989 through a licensing agreement with Bata. Following a re-entry in 1996 via a joint venture with Magnum International Trading Company Ltd, Adidas continued to strengthen its presence. In 2016, the brand obtained approval from the Indian Government to establish 100% foreign-owned stores, setting the stage for accelerated growth.
