Suman Guha, a seasoned technology and product leader with nearly two decades of experience has taken on a dual role at the Tata Group. He has been appointed Vice President – Head of Synergy Tech at Tata Digital, while continuing to serve as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Tata CLiQ.
In his new position, Guha will drive tech synergy across Tata Digital, Croma, and CLiQ, focusing on deeper integration, customer experience, and digital-first retail innovation. At Tata CLiQ, he heads product, engineering, design, data, security, MarTech, and technology operations, leading a 250+ member team and working closely with business leaders to deliver outcomes that enhance the online fashion and lifestyle shopping journey.
Before joining Tata, Guha was Chief Product & Technology Officer at Reliance Retail, where he played a central role in launching Tira (beauty), building the fashion, sports, and lifestyle portfolios, and architecting the Design-to-Shelf model. This initiative cut the launch time for new fashion and lifestyle products from 180 days to just 21 days, setting a new benchmark for speed and efficiency in Indian retail. He was also instrumental in shaping Reliance’s fast fashion (Shein partnership) and digital commerce strategies.
Guha also held leadership roles at Cisco, Tesco, Teradata, and Red Hat. Over his two-decade-long career, he has been instrumental in large-scale digital transformation, product innovation, and e-commerce technology strategies, both in India and globally.
Guha is also active as a mentor and angel investor, with a keen focus on deep tech and startups.
