Indian Silk House Agencies marks 67 stores with new opening in Navi Mumbai

Indian Silk House Agencies, the five-decade-old saree retailer, has opened its 67th store at Inorbit Mall in Vashi, Navi Mumbai — its second Maharashtra location in less than two months, following a recent launch in Nashik. The expansion takes the brand’s pan-India network across 13 states.

The new store brings together an extensive range of regional weaves under one roof, including Bengal’s Kantha, Baluchari, Matka and Tussar silks, South Indian Kanjivaram, Kanchipuram and Arni varieties, as well as heritage textiles such as Banarasi, Paithani, Ikkat, Bandhej, Gadwal and Uppada. The collection spans everyday wear through to occasion dressing, reflecting the brand’s positioning as a one-stop destination for India’s diverse handloom traditions.

Founded in Kolkata in 1971, Indian Silk House Agencies works with over 15,000 artisans across more than 60 weaving clusters nationally and carries upwards of 15,000 handloom designs. The Navi Mumbai opening is part of a rapid rollout strategy that the company says is targeting a new store every seven to fourteen days.
