US activewear label Fabletics is making its India debut through a long-term partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), the companies announced on Wednesday. The brand will launch simultaneously online and offline, with its first store opening at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, in New Delhi, to be followed shortly by a second outlet in Mumbai.
Under the agreement, RBL will build and operate Fabletics in India through an omnichannel model spanning standalone stores, e-commerce and experiential retail formats, pairing the brand’s global product line with RBL’s track record of scaling international names in the Indian market.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2013, Fabletics has carved out a niche in activewear by blending performance fabrics with fashion-forward design. The brand has grown from an online-first startup into a global omnichannel player with more than 125 stores worldwide, and has run collaborations with celebrities including Khloé Kardashian and Kevin Hart.
The India launch comes as activewear increasingly moves beyond the gym, with shoppers seeking clothing that performs well without sacrificing style. Fabletics also marks RBL’s second brand launch in India this August, following the company’s recent announcement of SKIMS’ entry into the market.
Commenting on the partnership, Sumeet Yadav, Head, Reliance Brands Limited, said: “India is undergoing an incredible transformation, driven by young consumers embracing movement, mindfulness, and athleisure as essential to their everyday lives. As we looked to expand our activewear portfolio, Fabletics stood out for its distinctive approach to making fashion-forward design accessible and built for everyday wear, making it a natural fit for the evolving Indian market. We’re excited to bring Fabletics to India and see considerable opportunity to introduce the brand to a new generation of active consumers.”
Meera Bhatia, President, Fabletics, added, “India represents an important next step in Fabletics’ international growth. We built Fabletics around the idea that consumers shouldn’t have to choose between performance, style and value, and we see that proposition resonating strongly with the way India’s active consumer is evolving. Reliance Brands combines deep market understanding with an ability to build global brands for India, making them the right partner for our long-term ambitions in the market.”
The India range will include men’s and women’s activewear for training, running, yoga, Pilates and everyday wear, combining the brand’s proprietary fabrics with its fashion-led design approach in pieces meant to work both in and out of the gym.
Alongside the Vasant Kunj store and the new India website, a Mumbai location is planned to follow soon, laying the groundwork for further expansion across the country.
