The 12th edition of the Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair (DJGF), North India’s prominent B2B jewellery exhibition, is set to take place from September 29 to October 1, 2024, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Organized by Informa Markets in India, DJGF 2024 will feature over 650 exhibitors and 700 exclusive brands, showcasing more than 1,50,000 designs, including gold, silver, diamonds, pearls, and gemstones.
The event will see the return of the DJGF Silver Show, now in its second year, displaying a wide range of silver jewellery in Hall No. 2. The fair is expected to attract over 25,000 visitors, including buyers, wholesalers, retailers, importers, and exporters. DJGF provides a dynamic platform for networking, brand promotion, and business expansion.
Key industry players from the loose diamond sector, such as Shree Ram Krishna Exports Pvt Ltd, Hare Krishna, Sheetal, and SJW Shivam, will present their collections. The event will also feature knowledge sessions, conferences, and workshops on topics like responsible sourcing, retail trends, and export opportunities in the jewellery market.
Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, remarked, “India’s jewellery sector is on a remarkable upward trajectory, with exports reaching USD 6.87 billion from April to June 2024. As a global leader in cut and polished diamonds, gold, silver, and lab-grown diamonds, India’s growing stature is reinforced by government measures like 100% FDI under the automatic route and AEO status for streamlined trade processes. Organised gold jewellery retailers are expected to see revenues increase by 22-25% this fiscal year, driven by the recent reduction in import duty. DJGF 2024 aligns perfectly with this momentum, offering a powerful platform for industry professionals to connect and seize emerging opportunities. The fair has consistently been a cornerstone for the jewellery sector, and this year’s edition promises even greater innovations, showcasing exclusive brands and fresh designs that will foster collaboration and growth. We are eager to spotlight the best of North India’s jewellery industry and elevate the event to new heights.”
Additionally, DJGF 2024 will also host knowledge sessions, conferences, and workshops covering topics including responsible sourcing, emerging retail and colour trends, the evolving jewellery market, and opportunities in gem and jewellery exports. These sessions will provide valuable insights from industry leaders, enabling attendees to stay ahead of trends and leverage new business avenues.
Additionally, the Retail Jewellers Guild Awards will return to recognize innovation and design in the sector, and the ‘Shakti – Honouring Women Achievers’ event will celebrate women entrepreneurs in collaboration with SVAR Media.
Supported by associations including The Bullion & Jewellers Association (Delhi), Delhi Jewellers Association, and Karol Bagh Jewellers Association, DJGF 2024 aims to provide a platform for business growth and networking within the jewellery industry.
