Chandan Sharma joins Jaipur Kurti as Head Retail & Business Development

Chandan Sharma has been appointed as Head Retail & Business Development at Jaipur Kurti. Prior to this, he was associated with Pepe Jeans India Ltd as Senior Business Development Manager. He has also worked at RJ Corp Retail, Mohan Clothing Co & Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd.

Sharma describes himself as a rigorous, task-driven professional with substantial experience of over 10 years in Sales, Operations, Business Development, Distribution and Franchisee Management, primarily across the retail industry.

Rapid Expansion

Founded in 2012, womenswear brand Jaipur Kurti is a part of Nandani Creation Ltd and is an NSE-listed company. The brand boasts 16 physical stores and 100 shop-in-shops, along with a robust online presence via its website and app. Its first store was launched in Bengaluru at Commercial Street in 2023. The brand is planning stores in Faridabad, Ahmednagar, Latur, Delhi, Muzaffarnagar, and Hyderabad along with unveiling its offerings in Jammu, Kota, and Hubli.

Nandani Creation Ltd – an online first fashion player – also houses the brands Desi Fusion, and Amaiva.

What’s In-Store

Jaipur Kurti, which offers a wide range of women’s apparel, including suit sets, pants, palazzos, fusion wear, kurtas, co-ord sets, dresses, tops, loungewear, bottom wear, and plus sizes, caters to the diverse style preferences of the modern woman. Bengaluru being an IT hub with a large female working force saw a high demand for the style of apparel offered by Jaipur Kurti.

Anuj Mundhra, Chairman & MD, Jaipur Kurti had said in an earlier interview to IMAGES Business of Fashion, “Jaipur Kurti is not just a brand; it’s a journey that began in the heart of the Pink City. The brand has always been about celebrating timeless beauty and ethnicity. Our stores allow us to bring that essence even closer to the modern women indulging in the brand’s offerings.”

The brand has already garnered a legion of loyal customers through its online presence and stores, which serve to bridge the gap between the virtual and physical worlds, allowing customers to interact firsthand with the products. The opening of stores is a strategic move aims to enhance brand engagement and create an immersive shopping experience.
