Environmental Stewardship: USI Enviro Club (Etd. 1996)  

The USI Enviro Club is a cornerstone of the company’s environmental commitment. Since its inception, the club has been dedicated to fostering sustainable practices and promoting environmental awareness and Behaviour change.  Key initiatives include:

  • “Let’s paint the World Green” a painting competition that was initiated since 1996 enrolling kids to paint their vision for a green world. The best paintings were converted into tee’s to raise funds for CRY.
  • Another program “5+5= Smile” started with the collaboration with CRY (Child Relief and You) in 1998 where we encourage our customers to donate their Pre-owned clothes and bring smiles to the faces of underprivileged children.
  • Consistent slogan line of Tees with graphics on Cleaner air, Water conservation, Importance of Water “Stop Leaky tap”, Consume less, Less is more, and many more to spread the message through Lifestyle clothing.
  • Launched a range in partnership with WWF on Endangered species, and these tee’s were made using organic cotton (GOTS certified)
  • Encouraging  Hand-work embroidery and providing skill development to children from slum areas.
  • Sponsoring environment-related events, USI has been practicing collaborations with organizations such as the United Nations Development Corporation (UNDC), Child Rights and You (CRY), World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Goong, Sant Puran SIngh Pingalwara,

  • Tree Planting Programs: Organised regularly to encourage reforestation and green spaces.
  • Promotion of Green Living: Through various campaigns and collaborations, USI promotes eco-friendly practices both within and outside the company.

Additionally, for 34 years, USI has organized painting competitions on social issues, particularly on World Environment Day, where children express their visions of a greener world.
