Forever 21 returns to India with Thomas Scott as exclusive licensee

Thomas Scott (India) Limited (TSIL) has been appointed the exclusive licensee for fashion brand Forever 21 in India, Nepal and Bangladesh, under a long-term agreement with Authentic Brands Group for F21 IPCO, LLC.

The licence covers apparel, bags, small leather goods, footwear, swimwear, caps, socks and hosiery. The agreement has an initial term of five years and can be renewed for another five. Under it, TSIL will lead the brand’s design, development and merchandising in the region, working with Forever 21’s global partner network.

TSIL plans a digital-first approach, focusing initially on building the brand’s presence and connecting with its core young consumer base.

“Forever 21 is about staying forever young, and India, the world’s youngest major economy, is where that promise belongs. With Gen Z and Gen Alpha right in front of them, we want every Indian customer to find their twenty-one-year-old self in this brand. We’re excited to scale Forever 21 in India, and equally excited to have been appointed a global designated supplier for the brand,” said Vedant Bang, Managing Director, Thomas Scott (India) Limited.

Authentic Brands Group also welcomed the tie-up. “Forever 21 has a strong connection with young consumers, and India represents an important market for the brand’s next phase of growth,” said Henry Stupp, President, EMEA-India, Authentic Brands. “TSIL brings the local market expertise, integrated capabilities and digital-first approach needed to expand Forever 21 across the region. We look forward to working together to strengthen the brand’s presence and position it for long-term growth.”

The company says the deal reflects its growing ability to build and scale fashion brands across owned, licensed and international portfolios. Its integrated platform spans design, manufacturing, technology, fulfilment and omnichannel distribution, covering the journey from product development to consumer delivery.

TSIL currently manages more than 50,000 SKUs across over 15 brands, supported by four manufacturing facilities and four fulfilment centres serving customers across India. The company expects these capabilities to play an important role in its plans for Forever 21.

The appointment adds another international fashion partnership to TSIL’s portfolio and supports its strategy of expanding its international brand line-up, backed by in-house manufacturing infrastructure and data-led merchandising. The company reported consolidated revenue of Rs 254.9 crore in FY26, up 58.3% year-on-year.

Authentic Brands Group is a global brand and entertainment platform that owns and invests in intellectual property and cultural assets. It works with more than 1,700 licensees and strategic partners across 150 countries, and its brands generate over $38 billion in annual systemwide sales. Its portfolio of more than 50 brands includes Reebok, Champion, GUESS, Aéropostale, Nautica, Brooks Brothers, Ted Baker and Sports Illustrated.
