Sri Jagdamba Pearls, the Hyderabad-based heritage jewellery brand whose roots go back to 1924, has opened a new store at Inorbit Mall in Visakhapatnam, extending its retail presence in southern India.
The 640 sq. ft. outlet offers a redesigned retail experience that combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. Shoppers can choose from gold, diamond and pearl jewellery, including freshwater, South Sea, Tahitian and rare pearls, spanning mid-range to luxury price points. The brand’s Ella, Eva and Ira collections are aimed at younger consumers looking for versatile, modern pieces.
Avanish Agarwal, Managing Partner of Sri Jagdamba Pearls, said, “The launch of our Vizag store marks an important milestone in our journey of taking Sri Jagdamba Pearls beyond Hyderabad and connecting with customers across India. The encouraging response to our stores in Bengaluru has strengthened our confidence in expanding into new markets. As pearl jewellery evolves beyond traditional designs towards contemporary, versatile and everyday styling, we see an exciting opportunity to introduce a new generation of customers to the timeless beauty of pearls. At Sri Jagdamba Pearls, we remain committed to blending our century-old legacy of craftsmanship with modern design, personalised service and bespoke jewellery experiences that reflect the individuality of every customer.”
Yash Agarwal, Managing Partner, stressed the importance of meaningful in-store engagement, compelling brand storytelling and regionally relevant designs in building stronger customer connections. He highlighted the role of an omnichannel approach in creating a seamless experience across physical stores and digital touchpoints, while adapting collections and service to the preferences of customers in different markets.
Deepak Kumar, Head – Retail & Marketing, pointed to the growing appeal of pearl jewellery as accessible luxury that bridges fashion and fine jewellery. He noted a shift towards versatile, everyday pearl designs that appeal to younger consumers while retaining the timeless elegance of pearls. The store’s range runs from accessible freshwater pearl jewellery to premium South Sea, Tahitian and other rare pearl pieces.
The Vizag launch follows the brand’s recent opening at Cochin International Airport and forms part of its pan-India retail expansion.
With over a century of craftsmanship behind it, Sri Jagdamba Pearls says it will continue to pair its heritage with contemporary design to reach a new generation of jewellery enthusiasts.
