Indian textile and denim industry veteran Nitesh Dhingra has announced a new role as Director – Raw Material Apparel at Walmart Sourcing. Dhingra shared the update on LinkedIn, expressing enthusiasm about the move.
The appointment caps a career spanning nearly three decades in textiles, fabrics, and fibers, with a particular focus on denim and yarn. Dhingra most recently served as Head of Sales & Marketing at Arvind Limited, a role he held since May 2023. Before that, he was Head of Sales and Marketing (Director) at Raymond UCO Denim from 2022 to 2023.
The bulk of his career was built at Raymond UCO India, where he spent over two decades — from December 1999 to May 2022 — rising through the ranks, most recently as General Manager based in New Delhi.
His early career included stints as Key Account Manager at Arvind Limited, Production Lead – Textiles at YKK, and Production Engineer at Jersey India Limited, giving him grounding across the value chain from yarn and fabric production to sales leadership.
With his move to Walmart Sourcing, Dhingra brings deep expertise in denim, fabric, and fiber sourcing to one of the world’s largest retail supply chains, a shift that positions him at the intersection of manufacturing know-how and global retail sourcing strategy.
