H&M unveils first look of Stella McCartney collaboration collection

Global fashion retailer H&M has announced its latest designer collaboration with Stella McCartney, set to launch on May 7, 2026. The collection marks a return partnership between the two, over two decades after their first collaboration in 2005.

The new line draws from McCartney’s 25-year design journey, combining her signature silhouettes—such as oversized shirting, sweeping trench coats, and sharp tailoring—with archival elements including slogan T-shirts, bejewelled prints, and cherry motifs. One of the standout pieces is a studded white mini tee reading “Rock Royalty,” referencing a look worn by McCartney at the Met Gala 1999.

The collection features a mix of apparel and accessories, including rib-knit dresses and tops detailed with the brand’s signature Falabella chain, eveningwear, denim, and mesh pieces in archival prints. The accessories segment includes six bag styles, ranging from shoulder bags to oversized totes, alongside jewellery and footwear incorporating chain detailing.

“I see this collection as a journey through my fashion history. It is a true mix of current classics and some of my old favourites that showcase my first forays into fashion and the development of my signatures. It’s playful, strong, sparkling, joyful, refined,” said Stella McCartney.

“Stella has always had a bold vision for fashion, and this collection tracks her journey from a young, rule-breaking voice to a master of timeless design. Every single piece in the collection is desirable and tells a unique and bold story,” added Ann-Sofie Johansson.

In line with McCartney’s long-standing sustainability focus, the collection uses materials such as recycled fabrics, organic cotton, and responsibly sourced wool certified to global standards. It also explores alternative feedstocks, including industrial corn and recycled vegetable oil, for coated materials.

The campaign, shot in London by photographer Sam Rock, features Renee Rapp, Angelina Kendall, and Adwoa Aboah. Built around the tagline ‘&Stella,’ the campaign highlights themes of connection across past, present, and future.

In India, the collection will be available at two stores—H&M Select Citywalk and H&M Linking Road—as well as online via hm.com from 10 AM onwards on launch day. Prices for apparel and accessories will start at Rs 2,229.
