As the scent of shiuli fills the air and the city hums to the rhythm of the dhaak, Bata India makes way to the festive season with its Brighter Moments Collection, launched just ahead of Durga Puja. The accompanying campaign features celebrated Bengali actors Neel Bhattacharya and Darshana Banik and showcases the vibrant new footwear collection designed to complement every Pujo moment – from morning Pushpanjali to late-night pandal hopping and food walks with families.
Bata has a rich legacy in West Bengal and has always been a part of the state’s cultural fabric. This year, as dhak beats echo across pandals, Bata’s new range of metallic sandals, high on-trend mules, sneakers and loafers tap to the beat. The new collection blends comfort with festive style and starts at just Rs 999.
“West Bengal has always been special to Bata. Earlier this year we invested about Rs 30 crore in our Batanagar facility to improve efficiencies as part of our transformation journey for the brand. Now, with our latest collection specially designed for Pujo and our community initiative in Purulia, we wanted to reaffirm our commitment to the East as a key market for Bata. Neel and Darshana bring a stylish charm to the campaign, and we are excited to continue being a part of the celebrations while offering the best of comfort, design, and festive flair,” said Badri Beriwal, Chief Strategy Officer & Business Development, Bata India.
“For us, Pujo is the heart of Bengal; a time when tradition, fashion, and celebration come together. From dressing up for Pushpanjali to endless pandal hopping, every step is filled with memories. Bata’s festive collection adds comfort and style to those moments, making the celebrations even more special,” add actors Neel Bhattacharya and Darshana Banik.
Beyond the collection, Bata’s heartfelt initiative Eakla Cholo Re supports underprivileged children at the Ananda Marga Children’s Home in Purulia. Inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s timeless anthem of courage and compassion, the initiative reflects Bata’s commitment to empower children to step into the future with dignity, hope, and new shoes.
This campaign is an ode to the Bengal’s most cherished festival where every step is a celebration.
