H&M partners with designer Elie Saab to launch red-carpet-inspired collection

H&M has named Lebanese couturier Elie Saab as its next guest designer, bringing the Beirut-born designer’s haute couture and red-carpet aesthetic to the high street. The ELIE SAAB H&M collection will launches globally and in India today, at select H&M stores and online at hm.com.

The collection draws on the signature codes of the house and will cover womenswear, menswear, eveningwear, tailoring and a range of accessories, including footwear. Embellished gowns, shimmering separates and sharply cut tailoring are among the highlights. Shoppers can expect draped silhouettes, gradient tones and intricate embellishment, along with details such as fine lace, gradient sequins and signature monograms.

Founded in Beirut, where Saab first earned recognition for his refined bridal creations, ELIE SAAB is now counted among the world’s leading haute couture houses. Saab became one of the first international members of France’s prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, a milestone in the recognition of his work at the highest level of couture. His designs have shaped numerous iconic red-carpet moments, and the brand’s universe now extends across couture, ready-to-wear and accessories.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M Creative Advisor and Head of Design Womenswear, said: “We are thrilled to announce this landmark collaboration with ELIE SAAB. Mr Saab is a designer we have always respected – the journey from master of bridalwear in Beirut to the centre of Paris fashion is an amazing, rich story and we are so excited to be exploring his world. Our customers can expect a magical, ornate and glamourous collection.”

Elie Saab, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, said: “This collection is created for all who admire the world of ELIE SAAB, and I hope it will be embraced with the same enthusiasm it was created with. I am very happy with this collaboration and with the way we worked together with the H&M team to bring the collection to life. It has been a truly collaborative and inspiring process. Each piece has been created with care and dedication, bringing together a complete wardrobe that speaks to every moment of a woman’s life.”
