Libas expands beyond apparel, launches jewellery collection

Indian fashion brand Libas has launched a jewellery line, expanding its business beyond apparel.

The collection spans more than 100 styles priced between Rs 399 and Rs 1,299 including jewellery sets, mangalsutras, necklaces and chains, bangles and earrings. Aimed at festive and wedding buyers, the range comprises gold-plated, silver-plated and oxidised pieces, with an anti-tarnish finish highlighted as a key feature.

The jewellery is currently sold on Libas’ website, app and leading marketplaces. The company plans to bring it to its exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) at a later stage, a phased rollout that lets it use its existing digital reach while building the category in physical stores.

The company said the move is intended to create new avenues of business and increase its share of consumer spending around fashion and occasions. Jewellery plays a significant role in festive and wedding dressing, giving Libas a chance to serve a wider set of customer needs.

The launch follows Libas’ recent expansion into fragrances, as the brand widens its product range beyond its core apparel business.

Sidhant Keshwani, Founder & CEO, Libas, said, “Libas has always been built around a deep understanding of the Indian consumer and how fashion is evolving across occasions. Our entry into jewellery is a natural progression of that vision, but more importantly, it reflects our ambition to build Libas as a larger fashion business. As we expand into new categories, our focus will remain on creating strong consumer relevance while building businesses that can scale over the long term.”

Libas said it aims to build scale beyond a single category and strengthen its presence in the Indian fashion market as it expands its digital and retail footprint.
