Homegrown sustainable footwear brand Neeman’s has appointed Deepu Virmani as its Chief Product Officer. In his new role, Virmani will lead Neeman’s end-to-end product strategy, spanning designing, sourcing & product development.
Virmani brings over 25 years of experience across the footwear and retail ecosystem. He joins Neeman’s from Reliance Retail’s Trends Footwear, where he served as Vice President – Sourcing & Product Development. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Bata India, Bharti Retail, Reliance Footprint and Mirza International, building extensive experience across the footwear value chain.
Commenting on Deepu’s appointment, Taran Chhabra, Co-founder & CEO, Neeman’s, said: “As Neeman’s grows, products will play an increasingly central role in how we build the business. We have built a strong understanding of what our customers want, and the opportunity now is to take that understanding deeper into our product strategy. Deepu brings a depth of category experience that is particularly relevant to where we are today. We believe his experience will help us sharpen our product thinking, build greater depth across the portfolio and strengthen the capabilities needed to support our ambitions as we expand across categories and markets.”
The appointment comes as Neeman’s builds towards its ambition of reaching Rs 1,000 crore in revenue over the next three years. The brand grew to Rs 185 crore in the previous financial year, and is now on track to close this year at Rs 350 crore, with deeper product capabilities forming an important part of its growth strategy.

I look forward to collaborating with the team and our partners to strengthen the product engine, build greater depth across categories and create products that are relevant to how consumers live, move and choose footwear today.”
With Virmani’s appointment, Neeman’s will continue to expand across categories and markets, building on its proposition of comfort, thoughtful innovation and everyday relevance.
