Contemporary jewellery brand Tribe Amrapali has opened its 42nd retail store at Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, Visakhapatnam, extending its footprint across India’s high-traffic travel hubs. The outlet is located at the Domestic Departure terminal.
The store brings Tribe Amrapali’s signature collections to travellers, featuring statement silver earrings, layered necklaces, stackable rings, everyday-wear pieces and gifting options. The range reflects the brand’s blend of bold forms, intricate detailing and contemporary takes on traditional Indian motifs.
Designed as an accessible discovery point, the store lets travellers browse collections on the go — whether they’re after a statement piece, an everyday addition to their jewellery collection, or a gift.
Commenting on the expansion, Akanksha Arora, CEO, Tribe Amrapali, said, “Visakhapatnam brings together a strong sense of place, culture and movement, making it an exciting addition to our travel retail journey. Airports have become spaces where people discover new brands and make spontaneous choices around gifting, self-expression and personal style. With this store, we are creating another point of connection between Tribe Amrapali’s design stories and a new audience of travellers. We look forward to seeing how the brand’s jewellery finds meaning within the journeys and experiences of our customers.”
Launched as an e-store in March 2013, Tribe Amrapali is the younger, contemporary offshoot of the heritage brand Amrapali. It creates affordable, experimental designs in silver, gold-plated silver and fashion jewellery, drawing on symbolic, folklore-inspired narratives that give each collection a distinct storytelling identity.
The Visakhapatnam launch is part of the brand’s broader push into travel retail, with airport stores serving as touchpoints that combine craft, design and storytelling to reach a growing, mobile customer base across India.
