Calvin Klein elevates Anand Kumar to Deputy General Manager

Calvin Klein has elevated Anand Kumar to Deputy General Manager, marking a significant step forward in his retail planning career, according to a recent LinkedIn announcement.

Kumar, an alumnus of NIFT Chennai’s Master of Fashion Management program, moved into the new role in July 2026 after a year and a half as Senior Manager at the company. In that position, he led the Men’s apparel and accessories business unit, coordinated with major retail partners including Shoppers Stop and Colombo, and served on the core team.

Before joining Calvin Klein in February 2025, Kumar spent over seven years at Tommy Hilfiger, where he built his expertise in retail planning and logistics. His tenure there culminated in a Senior Manager role overseeing Men’s Sportswear and Tailored Wovens, during which he also spearheaded the development and launch of the company’s Returns Management (REMA) online portal and managed logistics planning operations.

Kumar’s rise through Tommy Hilfiger’s ranks began in September 2017 as Assistant Manager for Retail Planning, where he focused on assortment planning. He was promoted to Manager – Retail Planning & Logistics in 2021, taking on broader responsibilities in category management and merchandising, before advancing to Senior Manager in 2024.

His career in the fashion retail industry began with a merchandising internship at Ambattur Clothing Ltd in Chennai in early 2017, laying the groundwork for what has become a nearly decade-long journey through two of the industry’s most recognizable global brands.
