Nykaa has named Ankit Jain as Head of Business for Nykaa Now, the company’s quick commerce vertical. Along with that, Jain also takes on the role of Executive Vice President of Supply Chain for Nykaa Beauty.
The appointment brings more than two decades of operations, planning and supply chain leadership experience to Nykaa’s fast-growing quick commerce business, as the company looks to sharpen its execution in a segment that has become increasingly competitive across India’s e-commerce landscape.
Jain joins Nykaa from Swiggy’s Instamart, where he served as Chief Operating Officer for just over a year. In that role, he was responsible for the quick commerce platform’s end-to-end operations, spanning warehouse design and management, middle-mile network planning, dark store operations, and hyperlocal growth, alongside P&L accountability for unit economics, contribution margin and EBITDA.
Before Instamart, Jain spent nearly six years at Flipkart, where he rose through a series of senior supply chain leadership positions. Most recently, as Senior Vice President and Head of Grocery and Large Supply Chain, he led a team of over 20,000 people and was responsible for warehousing, last-mile delivery and supply chain design across Flipkart’s grocery and large-format businesses, including the design of the company’s quick commerce offering, Minutes.
Jain’s career began at Unilever, where he spent over 14 years across manufacturing, factory management, innovation planning, and logistics and warehousing roles, eventually becoming General Manager of Demand Planning and Planning Excellence for South Asia.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and completed an Executive Course in Management at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
With Jain’s appointment, Nykaa signals its intent to bring deep quick commerce and supply chain expertise to bear on Nykaa Now as it competes for share in India’s rapidly evolving rapid-delivery market. Nykaa Now currently offers the delivery of over 1,000 brands within 30 to 60 minutes. Since its launch, the service has expanded to 13 key cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
Outlining its fulfilment roadmap, Nykaa said it aims to scale the quick-commerce service across all high-demand pockets in the country by the financial year 2029-30 (FY30).
