Japanese lingerie brand Wacoal has opened a new flagship store on Linking Road in Khar West, Mumbai, expanding its retail presence in India.
The 450-square-foot store offers Wacoal’s lingerie, shapewear, sleepwear, and loungewear collections, along with private fitting rooms and one-on-one fit consultations conducted by trained staff. The company said the store is intended to provide its most comprehensive brand experience in the country to date.
Wacoal, founded in Japan in 1946, entered the Indian market in December 2015. The company cited its history of body-measurement research and product fit as central to its retail approach.
“Mumbai is the heart of our India business, and Linking Road is at the heart of how Mumbai shops. Choosing this location for our flagship store was a strategic decision, allowing us to bring our most complete brand experience closer to customers. This store reflects everything Wacoal stands for—expert fit solutions, premium quality, innovation, and personalized service. With the new opening, Wacoal now operates 18 Exclusive Brand Outlets across India, in addition to selling through large-format retail chains, multi-brand outlets, and e-commerce platforms. The company said Mumbai remains one of its key markets in India and expects the new store to support brand visibility and customer engagement in the region.
The flagship store is located at Shop No. 1/2, 324, Sai Dwarka Building, Linking Road, Khar West, Mumbai – 400052.
Beyond its exclusive outlets, Wacoal also has a presence in more than 40 large-format stores and over 80 multi-brand outlets spanning 20 cities in India, alongside its website and other e-commerce channels.
