Anushka Sharma acquires minority stake in Agilitas; to lead One8 yoga-wear line

Actor-producer Anushka Sharma has acquired a minority stake in sports footwear and apparel company Agilitas Sports, expanding her association with the business after Virat Kohli joined the company as a co-investor and business partner last year.

According to Agilitas co-founder and CEO Abhishek Ganguly, Anushka is partnering with the company through a capital investment while also helping build its yoga-wear business. The company did not disclose financial details of the transaction.

“Excited to join Agilitas as an investor and begin this journey with one8. What drew me in was the intent, the ambition and the opportunity to build something meaningful. Looking forward to creating, learning and growing. More soon,” wrote Anushka Sharma confirming the investment on social media.

The investment deepens what has become a significant family stake in the homegrown sportswear platform.

Last year, Kohli ended his long-running Rs 110-crore association with German sportswear giant Puma and came on board Agilitas as a co-investor and business partner. As part of that arrangement, Agilitas also acquired One8, Kohli’s lifestyle and sportswear brand.

Expanding One8 into Wellness

Sharma’s entry comes with a specific strategic mandate. Her role goes beyond being just another celebrity investor — she will co-develop the company’s yoga-wear range under One8, the sportswear label now owned by Agilitas.

With Sharma now entering the mix, Agilitas appears keen to broaden One8 beyond performance gear and into the fast-growing wellness and yoga segment.

Founded in 2023, Agilitas Sports is an Indian sportswear and athleisure platform with a vertically integrated business model. The company operates across sports footwear, apparel, and accessories and has been expanding through acquisitions.

Agilitas has so far raised over Rs 600 crore from investors including Nexus Venture Partners, Spring Marketing Capital, SMLINE Ventures, and Infinity Direct Holding.
