Manika Mittal leaves Myntra to lead Vero Moda at BESTSELLER India

Bestseller India has appointed Manika Mittal as the new Business Head of Vero Moda India, signalling a senior leadership transition as the company strengthens its fashion positioning across international and omnichannel retail in India.

Manika is an alumna of NIFT and Indian School of Business. She brings more than 18 years of experience in fashion retail, e-commerce, and brand scale-up. At ISB, she was part of the Retail Club and worked on lean manufacturing projects, building an early foundation in both business strategy and apparel operations.

She began her career at Madura Garments as a Retail Buyer for Allen Solly, owning end-to-end category responsibilities including budgeting, trend forecasting, seasonal campaigns, visual merchandising, product training and new store launch support.

She later spent 9+ years with Aditya Birla Retail Ltd in strategy and business planning roles, followed by a leadership stint as AVP – Buying & Merchandising at More Retail Ltd.

Her most impactful phase in recent years was at Myntra, where she led International and Omnichannel Brand strategy. As Head of International Brands, she signed and scaled global fashion labels including Mango, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Next and Trendyol for India, driving their growth through integrated online and offline retail playbooks. Her work focused on partner alignment, category positioning, and building structured go-to-market strategies for international brands entering India.

Manika’s leadership approach has consistently centred on consumer insight-led decision making, product relevance, and channel integration to deliver long-term brand value — beyond short-term seasonal sales, toward sustained customer connection.

Her appointment aligns with the evolving leadership roadmap of Bestseller A/S, the parent company of Bestseller India, as it scales its international brand portfolio and India-focused fashion ecosystem presence.

In her new role based in Mumbai, Manika will focus on expanding Vero Moda’s market momentum, strengthening consumer engagement, and building scalable growth across India’s evolving retail and digital landscape.
