In a significant leadership transition at Arvind Fashions, Shailesh Chaturvedi has stepped down from his role as Managing Director & CEO, citing personal reasons. Chaturvedi, who has been with the company for 15 years, played a pivotal role in shaping some of the most iconic global apparel brands in India, including Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, and Arrow.
During his tenure, Chaturvedi was instrumental in transforming Tommy Hilfiger into one of India’s most aspirational and admired brands. He took over the Calvin Klein brand in FY18 and successfully turned around its performance, followed by the Arrow business in FY19, where he focused on revitalizing the brand’s presence in the market.
Shailesh Chaturvedi’s leadership has been key to Arvind Fashions’ growth. With a career spanning 28 years across leadership roles at Madura Coats and UCB before joining Arvind Fashions, he worked to build a solid foundation for the company’s future, positioning it as a dominant player in India’s apparel industry.
In 2021, he succeeded J Suresh as MD & CEO of Arvind Fashions, a role he held until his recent departure.
In July, Arvind Fashions appointed Amisha Jain as its new MD and CEO, effective August 13. Jain, previously the Managing Director and Senior Vice President for South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Non-EU at Levi Strauss & Co, brings a wealth of experience and global expertise. For the last two months, she was working closely with Chaturvedi to ensure a seamless transition.
