UNIQLO launches week-long ‘Arigato Festival’ to thank Indian customers

Japanese apparel giant UNIQLO is set to host its bi-annual Arigato Festival in India, a week-long celebration from May 30 to June 5, designed to express gratitude to its growing community of loyal customers.

“Arigato” — the Japanese word for “thank you” — perfectly captures the spirit of the festival, which will span all UNIQLO stores and its online platform. The celebration will feature exclusive promotional offers, free gifts, and in-store experiences, bringing together affordability, appreciation, and the brand’s signature LifeWear philosophy.

“We are pleased to extend our gratitude to our customers who have made UNIQLO a part of their daily lives. Customers are at the centre of everything we do at UNIQLO, and we are honoured and deeply appreciative to have a growing community of loyal customers in India. Through the Arigato Festival, we express our appreciation by offering exciting deals, exclusive gifts, and special in-store experiences,” said Nidhi Rastogi, Marketing Director, UNIQLO India.

During the event, shoppers can purchase some of UNIQLO’s most-loved LifeWear essentials at special prices. This includes pieces such as the Women’s Linen Blend Tapered Pants, EZY Jeans, AIRism Oversized T-shirts, and Ribbed Bra Tops, among others.

As part of the festivities, UNIQLO is offering a special novelty item: Japanese-style hand towels adorned with traditional motifs like Mount Fuji and Sakura flowers. Customers making purchases above ₹8,000 will receive this exclusive gift, which adds a thoughtful cultural touch to the shopping experience.

New Collections to Drop

Coinciding with the Arigato Festival, UNIQLO will also unveil two highly anticipated new collections:

  • UNIQLO x Anya Hindmarch, featuring four women’s styles, one kid’s style, and two pouch sizes

  • Louvre x Doraemon UT collection, combining playful art and fashion

Both collections will be available across stores and on UNIQLO.com starting May 30.

Since entering the Indian market, UNIQLO has steadily expanded its presence, gaining a loyal customer base drawn to its blend of quality, comfort, and design. The Arigato Festival is a testament to that growing relationship and reaffirms the brand’s long-term commitment to India.

With more than 2,500 stores worldwide and an annual global turnover of ¥3.1 trillion (approx. $21.42 billion) for FY2024, UNIQLO continues to strengthen its global footprint under the umbrella of parent company Fast Retailing Co., Ltd.
