Soch opens 5th international store in Surrey, strengthens Canada presence

Indian ethnic wear brand Soch has launched its fifth international store, this time in Surrey, British Columbia, expanding its footprint in Canada and reinforcing its push toward serving the global Indian diaspora.

The 1,500 sq. ft. store, located in Surrey’s South Asian commercial hub stocks the brand’s full range, including silk sarees, salwar suits, tunics, kurta sets, lehengas, fusion wear and kaftans. The opening makes Surrey the brand’s second store in Canada after an earlier launch in the country, and its fifth location outside India overall.

Soch, which has built a network of more than 175 stores across 70 Indian cities over two decades, framed the move as part of a broader international growth strategy targeting regions with large Indian-origin populations.

Vinay Chatlani, CEO & Co-founder of Soch, emphasised the strategic significance of this move, stating, “The Indian population in Canada has embraced Soch with remarkable warmth. With its vibrant South Asian heritage and strong sense of community, Vancouver is the perfect home for our second store in Canada, and fifth international location. This launch marks a significant milestone in our expansion journey as we continue to strengthen our presence across this market.”

Beyond Canada, the company said it is scouting opportunities in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the UK and the US, selecting markets based on Indian-origin population size and existing online demand for the brand. Soch said the new Surrey store reflects an upgraded retail format, and noted it also operates a dedicated Canada website to support local customers.

Store Location: #165 – 12899 80 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3W 0E6.
