The opening marks a significant milestone for the brand, as this outlet is not only its maiden concept store in the country but also its fifth such store globally.
Onitsuka Tiger is a Japanese footwear and lifestyle brand established in 1949, now recognized for its iconic striped sneakers—particularly the Mexico 66 line—which have heritage roots tied to Olympic athletics and Japanese craftsmanship.
Originally part of a company that ultimately became Asics, Onitsuka Tiger has gained renewed global popularity by blending vintage design with contemporary, premium positioning. The brand entered the Indian market in September 2017, launching its first exclusive brand outlet at the Palladium Mall, Mumbai via a partnership with ASICS India and brand licensing through Burgundy Brand Collective.
With this launch, Onitsuka Tiger continues to expand its international footprint, blending heritage Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary design for Indian consumers.
The Bengaluru store aims to offer an immersive shopping experience, showcasing the brand’s signature footwear, apparel, and accessories in a modern, experiential setting.
