American cosmetics brand Estée Lauder launches breast cancer campaign

Estée Lauder has launched its 2023 Breast Cancer Campaign to support the global fight against breast cancer. The campaign has dedicated over 30 years to raising awareness, funding research, and enhancing access to medical services for breast cancer patients worldwide.

With a cumulative funding of over $118 million, the breast cancer campaign, in collaboration with The Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation, has made strides in supporting vital research initiatives and promoting access to essential medical services. The initiative has particularly focused on reducing breast cancer disparities and improving outcomes for underserved communities.

The Breast Cancer Campaign aims for women’s advancement, health, and education. Since its inception in 1992 by Evelyn H. Lauder, the campaign has spearheaded efforts to advance breast cancer research and destigmatize conversations around women’s health.

Marking the 30th anniversary of the Campaign in 2022, the Estée Lauder Charitable Foundation pledged a $15 million commitment over five years to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), fueling groundbreaking research initiatives aimed at addressing breast cancer disparities and improving outcomes.

This year’s campaign is set to support over 60 organizations globally, with a strong emphasis on addressing disparities across the breast cancer landscape. Through various initiatives, including fundraising events, education programs, and product-based contributions, The Estée Lauder Companies aims to mobilize a broader community to advocate for breast health awareness and support.

William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman, Estée Lauder Companies Inc., emphasized the company’s dedication to the cause, stating, “The Breast Cancer Campaign remains at the forefront of our commitment to social impact. We continue to make progress toward a breast cancer-free world, inspired by my mother’s vision and the collective efforts of our employees, consumers, and partners.”

With breast cancer ranking as the most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide, The Estée Lauder Companies’ persistent dedication to this cause remains steadfast.
