Indian fine jewellery house Goenka India has opened a new store at Jio World Plaza in Mumbai, its second retail location after DLF Emporio in New Delhi.
The 1,000 sq. ft. store was designed with PAV Architects and carries forward the design language of the brand’s Delhi store. It features custom artworks, a geometric rose logo and a curved facade with a jali in the brand’s signature motif.
“Most luxury stores have a minimal facade where the story of the brand gets lost. We wanted the opposite. The moment you enter, you know you are in Goenka India; contemporary in language, but deeply Indian at heart. In the last five years we have opened two stores, a jewellery lounge, two design houses and a new manufacturing facility is coming this year. But for us, growth is not just about new cities; it is about how much finer, how much more technically sound our next piece can be,” said Nitin Goenka, CEO & Chief Designer, Goenka India.
The store showcases the brand’s new Emerald collection, its current statement line. Goenka India works exclusively with natural gemstones, with no CVD or lab-grown stones, and says its depth in emeralds and rubies is a key differentiator.
Bespoke jewellery is central to the offering. The store has two personal dressing ateliers, one of them in a private VIP room, and an in-house app that lets clients browse pieces not on display. Clients can also bring outfit swatches for the team to translate into bespoke designs.
The brand designs, manufactures and retails its own jewellery, including necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, bangles and men’s accessories such as cufflinks, kalgis and brooches.
