Activewear brand TechnoSport opened its first Exclusive Brand Outlet (EBO) in Jharkhand on Monday, marking a fresh push into Eastern India’s retail market.
The new store, spread across more than 2,200 square feet, is located on the ground floor of Bindal Mall in Sonari, Jamshedpur. It was inaugurated by cricketers Kumar Kushagra, Pankaj Kumar and Sahil Raj, and takes TechnoSport’s national store count to 66.
The company said Jharkhand has become a key growth market, driven by steady sales through general trade. Jamshedpur, an established industrial hub in the region, offers a mix of young professionals, students and fitness-focused consumers that the brand sees as well-suited to its activewear range.
TechnoSport’s entry into the state follows its association with the Jharkhand T20 League, where it serves as title sponsor. The tournament, run by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association, is the state’s first official franchise-based T20 competition. The brand said this partnership laid the groundwork for its retail push, and it now plans a cluster-based expansion across other high-potential cities in Jharkhand.
Speaking on the launch, Puspen Maity, CEO, TechnoSport, said, “The Jamshedpur store marks an important milestone in our expansion across Eastern India. The city’s growing fitness culture and demand for high-quality, affordable activewear make it a strong market for TechnoSport. We look forward to building a closer connection with consumers here and using this launch as a platform for wider growth across Jharkhand.”
The new outlet stocks the brand’s latest performance wear, including lightweight quick-dry T-shirts, breathable polos, stretch joggers and shorts, with several products featuring anti-odour and durability-focused finishes suited to the region’s warm, humid climate.
To mark the launch, TechnoSport plans to run marathon-linked activities and partner with local gyms to engage Jamshedpur’s fitness community. The company is targeting a national network of around 130 EBOs by the end of FY27.
Founded in 2007, TechnoSport currently operates over 60 exclusive brand outlets across India, with manufacturing based in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu.
