PDS, a leading global fashion supply chain solutions company, has elevated Abhishek Nawani to the role of CEO – Manufacturing, as part of its strategy to scale manufacturing operations, strengthen customer engagement, and drive operational excellence across its production network.
The elevation comes at a pivotal time for PDS’ manufacturing business, which has undergone a significant turnaround over the past few years. The segment’s revenues have grown from Rs 285 crore with a PBT loss of Rs 104 crore in FY21 to Rs 788 crore in revenues and a PBT of Rs 33 crore in FY25. With operations stabilised and profitability restored, PDS is now focused on the next phase of growth through scale, integration, and higher-value customer partnerships.
In his expanded role, Nawani will lead customer engagement, growth initiatives, and carry overall P&L responsibility for the manufacturing segment. PDS’ manufacturing units—including Good Earth and Progress Apparels in Bangladesh and Knit Gallery in India, acquired in May 2025 with revenues of Rs 267 crore in FY25—will continue to operate as independent profit centres. However, the Company will present its combined manufacturing capabilities to customers to enable deeper strategic relationships, improved cost efficiencies, and consistent operating practices as scale increases.
Nawani has been associated with PDS for the past four years and brings nearly three decades of experience across global apparel sourcing and manufacturing operations in India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Egypt. Prior to joining PDS, he held senior leadership roles at PVH, where he led sourcing offices in Egypt, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, and has also worked with JMS Group and Busana Apparel Group.
Commenting on the development, Pallak Seth, Executive Vice Chairman, said, “This step is a part of our ongoing efforts to streamline focus within the manufacturing business. The next phase is about scale, integration, and deeper customer engagement. This strategic realignment strengthens our ability to deliver consistent value, improve efficiencies, and support sustainable long-term growth.”
Sanjay Jain, Group CEO, further added, “As we scale manufacturing, it is critical that we align capabilities, drive synergies, and maintain strong operational discipline. This strategy positions us well to support customers while enhancing returns across our manufacturing operations.”
