For centuries, yoga has been an integral part of Indian culture. But in recent years, it has truly entered the mainstream – going beyond wellness to become a lifestyle statement. From being a tool for health and mindfulness, yoga has now made its way into the fashion scene too. Think sleek yoga pants, stylish co-ord sets, and beautifully designed mats that look as good as they feel.
This International Yoga Day, IMAGES Business of Fashion brings you a list of athleisure brands that will turn your everyday yoga routine into a truly fashionable affair.
- Cava Athleisure
Founded by sisters Ria and Shreya Mittal, Cava was born during Covid. Ria and Shreya noticed a gap in the market for athleisure wear brands in India that also offered stylish clothing. To fill this white space, they created Cava, which offers fashion, comfort, and versatility for fitness enthusiasts. Bootstrapped with their parents’ support, Cava took off and has its eyes set on becoming a Rs 100 crore company. The brand retails through its own website, online marketplaces, and in MBOs including Broadway.
- TechnoSport

- No Nasties
In a fashion world constantly reinventing itself, few brands have stayed as grounded in purpose and sustainability as No Nasties. Founded by Apurva Kothari, No Nasties is not just a casualwear label — it’s a conscious lifestyle choice. Known for its 100% organic cotton apparel and recently introduced organic linen line, the brand champions ethical fashion while redefining comfort-wear as a new norm.
Although No Nasties doesn’t define itself as an athleisure brand, it occupies an increasingly relevant space in that segment. At least 30% of its customers wear the brand’s organic cotton tees, tanks, and shorts for workouts, especially yoga and runs, Founder Apurva Kothari, told IMAGES Business of Fashion in an earlier interview.
With a flagship store in Goa and a robust e-commerce platform, No Nasties has already made its mark in India. As the lines between comfort, sustainability, and style continue to blur, No Nasties stands tall — proving that doing good and looking good are not mutually exclusive.

It offers apparel with “game-changing” features like sweat-wicking, 4-way stretch, and second-skin softness.
