Decathlon Chennai has relocated its Anna Salai store to a sprawling new facility in Pondy Bazaar, as announced by a company executive on social media. This move signifies a significant upgrade aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
“From day one, Anna Salai welcomed us with open arms. Over the years, you turned our store into more than just a retail space but a a hub of community, sports, curiosity, and movement. Whether it was a quick visit to grab gear, joining a weekend event, or just exploring new sports, YOU made it special! Now, we are beginning a new chapter,” wrote Rahul Phukan, Business Development Director and Legal Referent at Decathlon Sports India on LinkedIn.
The new Decathlon store is strategically situated in the heart of Chennai’s iconic marketplace. The store boasts an impressive 24,000 square feet, making it one of the largest Decathlon outlets in Tamil Nadu. This substantial increase in space allows for an even wider selection of sporting gear across a diverse range of categories, including fitness, cycling, football, trekking, and more.
“This new space has been designed for everyone—from seasoned athletes and casual players to school kids trying their first sport and weekend adventurers looking for their next trail,” added Phukan.
