The Body Shop opens new store at DLF Summit, Gurugram; eyes 20-30 new stores this fiscal

British ethical beauty brand The Body Shop has opened a new store at DLF Summit in Gurugram, expanding its retail presence in North India.

The Gurugram store’s interior features a mural depicting Gurugram’s skyline, retail districts, metro network and café culture, alongside scenes of daily life in the city and design elements drawn from Haryana folk art.

The outlet stocks The Body Shop’s full range of skincare, bodycare, haircare, fragrance and makeup products, and includes areas designed for product discovery and customer engagement.

Speaking on the launch, Vishal Chaturvedi, Chief Revenue Officer, The Body Shop, said, “Retail today is about much more than transactions. Customers want spaces that feel relevant, engaging and connected to the communities they live in. Gurugram is one of India’s most dynamic hubs, and we wanted our newest store to reflect its unique energy and individuality. By weaving local stories into the retail experience, we’re creating a destination that celebrates the city while giving customers a more meaningful way to engage with The Body Shop and our core values.”

The Body Shop currently operates around 200 stores across India and plans to open 20 to 30 additional stores in the current fiscal year, according to the company.

In India, The Body Shop is operated by its partner Quest Retail, a beauty and retail brand developer that has operated in India since 2006. Quest Retail’s portfolio also includes Avon, Anastasia Beverly Hills and Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner. The Body Shop itself was founded in 1976 in Brighton, England, by Dame Anita Roddick.
