In a move that strengthens Odisha’s ambitions as a national textile and apparel hub, TechnoSport, India’s fastest-growing performance wear brand, has signed a landmark MoU with the Government of Odisha, committing to a ₹100 crore investment to build a next-generation activewear manufacturing facility in the state.
The MoU, inked during the high-profile Odisha-Tex 2025 summit, was formalized in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Manjhi. The upcoming facility, to be developed within a world-class industrial estate, is projected to generate over 1,000 jobs directly, with a focus on women’s employment, renewable energy, and sustainable manufacturing.
Factory of the Future – Built for Scale, Speed & Sustainability
The planned facility will anchor a government-backed plug-and-play ecosystem, with ambitions to:
- Create 20,000+ direct jobs across the industrial estate
- Drive Rs. 7,000 crore+ in domestic revenues
- Enable $100 million+ in exports
- Operate on renewable energy
- Employ over 80% women workforce
- Incorporate semi-automation, smart tracking, and fabric waste recycling
As part of the vision, the estate will also host a training center in collaboration with a local university, offering degrees and technical education to employees—blending skill-building with formal education.
“This investment in Odisha is more than a factory—it’s a blueprint for the future of Indian manufacturing,” said Sunil Jhunjhunwala, Co-Founder & Managing Director, TechnoSport. “Odisha offers the perfect confluence of skilled workforce, supportive governance, and scalable industrial vision.”
