Nimmit, a sustainable luxury lifestyle brand, marked its Mumbai debut at “Black. White. Crafted.”, a three-day exhibit hosted by Studio ABACA. The event was held from 30th October to 1st November 2025 at the ABACA store in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.
The word Nimmit means ‘a platform that connects people or brings people together’. Staying true to its name, the brand is a bonafide link to India’s culture and latest fashion, designing pieces that feel rooted and suitable.
For ‘Black. White. Crafted.’, Nimmit will present ‘The Illusion Edit’, a special collection focused on relaxed apparel in cotton mul, handwoven Chanderi and fine linen. The collection ties customary Indian techniques like Chikankari, Kantha, Appliqué, Resist Dyeing and Block Printing to form geometric illusion-driven surfaces that play with light and shadow. Each piece is handcrafted to balance minimalism with depth.
“Bringing Nimmit to Mumbai through ABACA feels special”, says Manish Shah, Creative Director & Founder of Nimmit and a second-generation textile entrepreneur. “This city has always celebrated individuality and design, making it the right place to introduce our philosophy in India. With ‘The Illusion Edit’ Collection, we are showcasing pieces that reflect the spirit of Nimmit. Each creation carries the hand and heart of our artisans, shaped through time-honoured techniques and a shared respect for detail.”
Inspired by India’s rich textile traditions and design sensibilities, Nimmit exists at the intersection of lifestyle, interiors, and fashion. Its collaboration with ABACA provided the perfect platform to introduce the brand’s philosophy to Mumbai — where craft, design, and storytelling converge. The showcase went beyond a debut, becoming a creative dialogue between heritage and modern living, expressed through sustainable, handcrafted luxury.
