In a major development within the fashion retail industry, BESTSELLER India’s Sumit Suneja has stepped down from his role as Chief Expansion Officer & Head – International Markets.
Sumit, who has been with BESTSELLER for over 16 years, is recognised for his strategic vision and excellence in scaling retail operations, driving market expansion, and positioning fashion brands in high-growth territories.
With a rich career spanning more than two decades, he has leveraged his experience to design and implement expansion strategies across India and Sri Lanka. Along with incepting the multi-brand franchise business, Sumit is credited with leading the launch of over 400 stores for BESTSELLER in India.

He worked closely with retail ecosystems, real estate partners, and brand teams to strengthen BESTSELLER’s presence and create meaningful customer experiences.
Before assuming the role of Chief Expansion Officer & Head – International Markets at BESTSELLER India, he led key business development and franchising initiatives that laid the foundation for the company’s strong growth trajectory. Prior to joining BESTSELLER, he also spearheaded India’s first premium frozen yogurt brand — Cocoberry.

Though he hasn’t disclosed his next move, his proven leadership, strategic approach to expansion, and strong industry presence suggest that an even more impactful chapter lies ahead.
