Shoppers Stop has marked a major milestone in its retail journey with the launch of its new store at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1. Spanning over 10,000 sq. ft., the store is now India’s largest airport departmental store.
“We’re thrilled to unveil our most ambitious milestone yet – India’s largest airport department store,” the company wrote on LinkedIn. “This isn’t just a store, it’s an immersive retail destination designed for the modern traveler. From international fashion to luxury beauty and premium accessories, every corner reflects our commitment to bringing you the world’s finest brands with our signature customer-first service.”
This expansion marks Shoppers Stop’s entry into travel retail, moving beyond its usual presence in malls and high streets. By opening stores at airports, the brand aims to make its products more accessible to people on the move.
The company is also reportedly eyeing further growth in this space, with plans underway for additional travel retail outlets and pop-up kiosks at major transit points across the country.
The Delhi airport store launch comes at an important time for Shoppers Stop’s leadership. After 30 years with the company, Nagesh B S has stepped down, and Nirvik Singh has taken over as the new leader.
Founded in 1991, Shoppers Stop operates over 299 outlets across 70 cities, including 112 department stores, 75 Intune value-fashion stores, and 82 beauty-format outlets.
