Footwear major Relaxo has named Aakash Koparkar as its new Vice President, marking a key leadership addition as the company gears up for its next phase of growth.
Koparkar brings over 17 years of experience in the retail sector, with a strong track record in improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, driving business growth and profitability.
He joins Relaxo after a successful 13-year stint with the Bata Group, where he held multiple senior roles across domestic and international markets.
Most recently, he was Business Head for Hush Puppies and Power concept stores at Bata India. He also previously led the company’s franchise business and retail development and served as General Manager – Retail South. His international exposure includes a strategic role as Retail & Marketing Adviser at Bata Indonesia under the Bata Shoe Organisation’s global talent program.
Before Bata, Koparkar worked with leading fashion brands including Raymond Limited and Arvind Limited.
At Relaxo, Koparkar is set to spearhead key strategic initiatives and play a critical role in scaling the brand’s presence in India’s competitive footwear market.
