Meta and EssilorLuxottica have launched the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in India, combining stylish eyewear with advanced AI and hands-free tech.
EssilorLuxottica is a global leader in eyewear and vision care, known for innovative lens technologies and iconic brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley.
The glasses come packed with features like ultra-wide 12MP cameras for high-quality photos and portrait-mode 1080p videos, discreet open-ear speakers with noise suppression, and five built-in microphones for seamless switching between calls and music.
With the built-in Meta AI, users can simply say “Hey Meta” to get instant help—from local recommendations and translations to historical facts and recipe ideas. A live translation feature, supporting English, Spanish, French, and Italian, is also set to arrive later this spring.
Content creators can livestream directly to Instagram or Facebook for up to 30 minutes, hands-free, while switching between the glasses and phone camera.
The Ray-Ban Meta range includes classic Wayfarer and Skyler frames in multiple colors and lens options, including prescription, sun, polarized and Transitions®. Prices start at Rs 29,900 and include a compact charging case and an improved Meta View app for content sharing and glasses management.
Pre-orders are open on india.ray-ban.com, with sales starting May 19 at Ray-Ban stores and leading optical outlets across India.
