Fast-growing demi-fine jewellery brand Palmonas has appointed Shekhar Chandra as Vice President – Retail Expansion, as the company gears up for an aggressive brick-and-mortar push following a landmark year of growth.
Chandra brings 19+ years of retail leadership to the role, having most recently served as Offline Revenue Lead at Zouk, where he built the vegan lifestyle brand’s entire offline ecosystem from scratch — taking it from zero to 30+ exclusive brand stores across malls, high streets, and large-format retail, alongside 100+ points of sale through multi-brand partners including Shoppers Stop, Chennai Silk, 8887, and other leading MTO partners, during his tenure.
His mandate at Palmonas is broad: leading the brand’s aggressive offline expansion, scaling the retail footprint across key markets, strengthening mall and high-street partnerships, and building a robust retail ecosystem as the brand gears up for 100+ new store launches in the upcoming phase.
Prior to Zouk, Shekhar held senior roles at Harmony Distributors, Horra Luxury, William Penn, Arvind Limited, and Landmark Retail Group in the UAE — developing deep expertise across retail operations, general trade, modern trade, and institutional sales.
Founded by Pallavi Mohadikar Patwari and Dr. Amol Patwari, Palmonas is one of India’s fastest-growing fashion jewellery brands, known for its contemporary, premium yet accessible designs and a strong D2C foundation. Actor Shraddha Kapoor is also a co-founder, lending the brand significant visibility.
Palmonas has rapidly built a loyal customer base online and is now scaling its offline presence with equal momentum. With 58+ operational stores across key malls and high streets, Palmonas recorded 4× growth last year and is now entering an accelerated retail expansion phase.
