British fashion retailer NEXT has launched its first store in Mumbai, opening its doors at Infiniti Mall, Malad. Bollywood actor, singer and model Shibani Akhtar inaugurated the outlet.
The Mumbai launch follows NEXT’s earlier store openings in Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, and forms part of the brand’s long-term expansion strategy in India, executed in partnership with Myntra Jabong India Pvt. Ltd. (MJIPL), the B2B wholesale arm of Myntra, along with licensed franchisee partners. Under this arrangement, MJIPL holds the licensed rights to distribute NEXT’s products in India through a franchise model, while also building out the brand’s omni-channel presence in the country.
Spanning over 12,000 sq. ft., the Malad store is positioned in one of Mumbai’s premium retail catchments. It follows NEXT’s signature global store design, with defined category zones and a structured shopping layout. The store carries close to 1,000 styles across women’s, kids’ and men’s wear, spanning t-shirts, shirts, dresses, shorts, trousers, denims and co-ord sets, among other categories, with select styles available exclusively at this location.

NEXT entered the Indian market in 2023 and has expanded steadily since, with the company citing strong consumer response to its design-led, everyday fashion offering. The new Mumbai store adds to that footprint as the brand continues to grow its presence across major Indian cities.
