Bagzone Lifestyles Pvt. Ltd., the company behind handbag brands Lavie and Lavie Luxe, has announced the launch of its latest venture – Akiki London, a contemporary luxury handbag brand.
Akiki London debuts with a collection of handbags that fuse modern global aesthetics with artisanal craftsmanship. The name “Akiki” is derived from Agate, a gemstone recognized for its layered beauty and strength, aligning with the brand’s intention to create handbags that hold both design value and emotional resonance.
The brand positions itself as an expression of individuality, drawing cultural influence from London while collaborating with manufacturers and artisans across Europe and Asia. This global production network allows Akiki to deliver luxury-grade products at prices positioned below traditional high-end players.
To support its brand identity, Akiki London introduces “KIKI”, a British Bulldog mascot serving as a creative brand muse. KIKI will appear across marketing touchpoints and will be part of custom in-store displays to enhance brand engagement.
“With Akiki, we enter into a largely untapped white space as the market continues to evolve. While most handbags focus primarily on workwear and utility-driven design, Akiki’s statement pieces have been engineered for moments of substance and impact, offering the discerning woman of today luxury that is thoughtful, well-crafted and leaves a lasting impression. This launch marks an exciting new chapter for us as we proudly add this unique offering that bridges heritage with innovation and empowers women to express their true selves”, says Nishant Bakliwal, Head – Digital & Communications at Bagzone Lifestyles Pvt. Ltd.
The brand is launching with a digital-first strategy via its official website akikilondon.com. In the future, Akiki plans to expand into physical retail, beginning with flagship stores in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai. It also has plans to scale up to 100 stores across India over the next five years.
This launch marks a strategic shift for Bagzone Lifestyles, which is expanding beyond the accessible fashion space into contemporary luxury, targeting a consumer base that prioritizes quality, design, and individuality.
