Rohan Batra, who previously served as Chief Manager – Sustainability & CSR at Marks & Spencer India, has joined JLL India as Sustainable Solutions Lead. He took on the new role in July 2025.
At JLL, Batra will help clients advance their sustainability agendas, with a focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies. His expertise will play a key role in guiding organisations towards responsible growth and achieving their sustainability targets.
Batra spent over three years at Marks & Spencer India, where he led the brand’s ‘Plan A’ sustainability initiative. Under his leadership, the initiative worked across three key pillars—People, Planet, and Community. From promoting employee wellness and inclusivity to driving energy savings, reducing waste to zero landfill, and engaging in community development through volunteerism and fundraising, Batra’s work contributed significantly to M&S India’s goal of becoming a net-zero business by 2040.
Prior to M&S, Batra held sustainability leadership roles at House of Anita Dongre, Mpower (Aditya Birla Education Trust), YES Bank, and Birla Cellulose, where he worked across projects ranging from carbon footprinting and sustainable raw material sourcing to ESG reporting, mental health initiatives, and responsible manufacturing.
With this move to JLL, Batra continues his long-standing commitment to sustainable development and corporate responsibility, bringing over a decade of cross-sectoral experience to the real estate services and investment management firm.
