Diesel leans into life’s little disasters for SS26 campaign

Diesel has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, built around a simple idea: when everything goes wrong, you might as well look good and keep smiling.

“In this life, you never know which way the chips (or trees) may fall. It might be through your roof. Grinning in the face of absurd misadventure is essential For Successful Living,” the brand said in a statement.

Shot by photographer Mark Peckmezian, the campaign pairs models grinning through a series of mundane catastrophes — flooded laundry rooms, grocery store avalanches, puddle splashes, drum spills on the morning commute — with AI-generated backdrops that stage the absurdity. The visual language is deliberate: bright, unshakeable smiles set against scenes of minor chaos, framed as resilience rather than denial.

The campaign continues the creative partnership between Diesel’s director Glenn Martens and art director Christopher Simmonds, and marks another chapter in the brand’s ongoing exploration of the tension between the real and the artificial.

The collection itself leans into deconstruction and contrast. Highlights include banded denim with athletic triple stripes, wrapped jersey separates and racer jackets, and tailored pieces with biker detailing carried over from the SS26 runway. Standout fabrications include crackled leather with cocoon sleeves, x-ray bleached denim treated from the inside out, and double-layered pieces engineered to make the inner layer appear larger than the outer.

Accessories round out the offering with the D-DIAM SA 90 peep-toe mules, D-MATHIEU lug sole Chelsea boots, new printed leather 1DR shoulder bags, the Stinger watch, Alien-inspired jewelry, and updated optical and sunglass frames.
