Crocs India names Kumar Harshit as Commercial Director – Retail & Wholesale

Crocs, Inc. has appointed Kumar Harshit as Commercial Director for Retail & Wholesale in India. At Crocs, Harshit is tasked with the complete P&L responsibility for Crocs, Inc.’s brick & mortar business in India, managing own retail, partner retail, and wholesale distribution channels to optimize performance, and developing strategic initiatives to enhance market presence and drive revenue growth.

“India represents a tremendous opportunity for Crocs,” Harshit said announcing the move on social media platform LinkedIn, adding that his focus would be on elevating the consumer experience while building out the commercial infrastructure needed to support the brand’s expansion.

The appointment brings nearly two decades of fashion and footwear retail experience to Crocs’ India leadership team. Harshit joins from Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., where he spent close to 17 years across a series of senior commercial roles.

He most recently served as VP and Product Merchandise Director for Peter England from July 2025 to March 2026. Prior to that, he served as Retail Director for Reebok India, a role in which he managed the brand’s national retail operations.

Earlier in his tenure at Aditya Birla, Harshit headed the Van Heusen retail business across the group’s “Emerging Markets” portfolio and served as National Sales Head for Key Accounts at Louis Philippe. He also spent nine years as Category Head for Louis Philippe’s sportswear and jeans sub-brands.

Harshit began his career in 2008 as a Management Trainee at Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, following his undergraduate studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology. He subsequently completed a Management Development Programme in marketing at IIM Calcutta and has been recognized as a finalist for the Economic Times Young Leaders award.

Crocs has been steadily building out its regional leadership as it looks to accelerate growth in India, one of its fastest-growing markets globally. Harshit’s appointment is expected to play a central role in that strategy going forward.
