Carrefour India, which operates through a franchise partnership with UAE-based Apparel Group, has appointed Raghu Tiwari as Category Head to lead both its Apparel & Fashion divisions.
Tiwari comes on board with over 19 years of experience in India’s top apparel retail organisations including V-Mart Retail, Snapdeal, Reliance Retail, Blackberrys and Adidas. Among these, Tiwari has led, guided and implemented PLM systems in adidas Group, Blackberrys and Reliance Retail.
At V-Mart Retail, he headed the Men’s division and LimeRoad’s online platform, driving new product launches, brand partnerships, promotions, visual merchandising enhancements, inventory planning, and multi-channel profitability. At Snapdeal, he led the Apparel Fashion vertical, growing category contribution while improving margins through strategic initiatives.
His strengths lie in strategic planning and strengthening companies to perform in highly competitive markets. He is an expert in effective Category Management, Buying & Merchandising, Product Development, Range Architecture & Business Plans, Product Costing, Sourcing Planning, OTB Management, Inventory Management, and Liaison to ensure on time achievement of organisational targets, with specialisation in process refinement & SOP implementations.
Recognised for his leadership, analytical insight, and deep category knowledge, Tiwari is tasked with scaling Carrefour India’s fashion business with strategic focus and market-driven precision.
