CaratLane, the Tata-backed jewellery retail brand, has appointed retail veteran Dhaval Raja as its new Chief Sales Officer, signalling a renewed push to scale its omnichannel presence across India.
Raja, a veteran retail executive with over two decades of experience spanning jewellery, apparel, and lifestyle segments, joins CaratLane from Senco Gold and Diamonds, where he served most recently as Chief Sales & Business Officer. During his five-year tenure at the Kolkata-based jewellery chain, he played a key role in the brand’s retail growth and business development.
Before Senco, Raja held senior leadership positions at Raymond Apparel Limited, where he spent over eight years heading retail operations across South and West India, and at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail.
“Jewellery retail in India is entering its most defining phase yet. The next wave won’t be led by expansion alone – but by how well brands integrate design, digital, and disciplined execution at scale. I’m excited to step into this journey with CaratLane as Chief Sales Officer. CaratLane has built a strong foundation in reimagining how customers discover and buy jewellery,” wrote Raja on LinkedIn while announcing the move.
At CaratLane, he is expected to sharpen the brand’s omnichannel strategy, improve store-level economics, and deepen customer engagement as the company looks to consolidate its position in the fast-evolving organised jewellery market.
