Cantabil Retail marks 25 years, eyes 20% CAGR in next phase of growth

Homegrown fashion retailer Cantabil Retail India Ltd. has completed 25 years in the Indian market, marking its journey from a single store in Delhi’s Rajouri Garden in 2000 to a network of over 600 stores across 290 cities today. The milestone highlights the brand’s steady expansion across categories and regions, particularly in Tier II and III markets.

Since its inception, Cantabil has gradually evolved from a menswear brand into a multi-category fashion retailer. The company entered women’s wear in 2007, launched its IPO in 2010, and established a manufacturing facility in Bahadurgarh in 2016. It introduced its first exclusive Women & Kids store at New Delhi’s V3S Mall in 2017, followed by a kidswear line in 2018 and a foray into footwear in 2023.

The brand’s deep penetration into non-metro markets has played a key role in widening access to affordable, family-oriented fashion. Cantabil has also strengthened its omnichannel presence, offering products through both offline and online platforms.

As part of its 25-year milestone, the company shared its plans for the next phase of growth, aiming for a 20% CAGR in revenue on a year-on-year basis—up from its current average of around 17% over the past six years.

Having successfully diversified from men’s wear into women’s and kids’ wear along with Footwear & Accessories. Our aim now is to deepen market penetration, expand categories, and offer a complete lifestyle experience to our customers across India.”

Looking ahead, Cantabil plans to expand its retail footprint, diversify product categories, and enhance its e-commerce and omnichannel capabilities to strengthen its position in India’s organized fashion retail market.
