Bestseller India has elevated Mayur Kamath to the role of Head – Business Development, marking a key leadership move as the company continues to strengthen its retail expansion strategy across India.
Kamath has been associated with Bestseller India for over six years, most recently serving as Manager – Business Development since December 2019. In his new role, he will oversee business development initiatives across Bestseller’s India portfolio, which includes brands such as JACK & JONES, VERO MODA, ONLY, SELECTED, and JACK & JONES Junior.
During his tenure at Bestseller India, Kamath has played a pivotal role in driving pan-India expansion of company-owned (COCO) stores, while also working closely with the franchising team to scale both single-brand and multi-brand franchise operations nationwide. His responsibilities have also included reviewing, renegotiating, and turning around non-performing and loss-making stores to improve overall commercial viability.
Prior to joining Bestseller India, Kamath spent nearly five years with Reliance Brands Limited, where he managed business development and expansion for a portfolio of over 30 international brands, including Superdry, Diesel, Armani Exchange, Coach, Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade, Hamleys, and Mothercare. His earlier experience also includes roles at GAS Jeans Pvt. Ltd. and Resilient Softech Pvt. Ltd., spanning marketing, brand building, and business development.
