Krieya Beauty & Wellness, a research-led beauty company developing products tailored to Indian physiology, has raised approximately Rs 7 crore in its first funding round, ahead of its debut brand launch in Q3 FY26.
The funding round was led by Sauce, with Riverwalk Holdings co-leading the investment. The round also saw participation from Dr. Aneesh Sheth, Founder of Dr. Sheth’s.
Krieya plans to unveil its first brand focused on haircare, developed through extensive R&D and consumer testing. The upcoming line is based on insights from a proprietary research community of over 500 Indian consumers and six months of trials to create science-backed formulations designed for local needs.
Zoeb Ali Khan, VP, Sauce said, “We are bullish on Beauty & Personal Care as a category in India, and see premiumisation through local players as a clear trend across multiple categories in Beauty. Krieya’s focus on building premium brands as well as R&D with proprietary formulations is what convinced us to invest”
Jai Sumer Singh, Co Founder & Partner, Riverwalk Holdings added, “We were super excited about the R&D first approach adopted by Krieya. This focus along with deep customer obsession gives them an unfair advantage and that’s why we invested.”
Siddharth Sharma, Founder & CEO, Krieya said, “Most mature global beauty markets such as Korea and Japan are dominated by local brands that deeply understand their consumers, and invest in not only marketing, but R&D to deliver superior outcomes. As the Indian BPC market matures, we intend to lead this change and build premium science driven brands across the Beauty, Personal Care and Wellness Categories.”
Founded by Siddharth Sharma, a former Honasa Consumer executive, Krieya builds on his experience scaling Dr. Sheth’s 30x post-acquisition to ₹150 crore+. Sharma earlier worked with venture builder Favcy, and now leads Krieya’s mission to develop clinically proven products through extensive testing on Indian consumers.
Currently, the company has developed a ‘Beauty BioPrint’ of 500+ Indian consumers and is testing 10 products ahead of commercial launch.
