Bata hits milestone with 500 franchise stores across India

Bata India, the country’s largest footwear retailer and manufacturer, has achieved a significant milestone with the inauguration of its 500th Franchise store in Bangalore. This accomplishment solidifies Bata’s position as a key player in the footwear retail industry and expands its retail footprint to 2,150+ stores nationwide, comprising a diverse mix of Company-Owned Company-Operated (COCO), Franchise stores, and Shop-in-Shop (SIS) stores.

To commemorate this achievement and express gratitude to its trusted partners across India, Bata unveiled a CGI Out-of-Home (OOH) celebration titled ‘Bata 500 Franchise Store Family in India.’ The celebration emphasizes Bata’s commitment to deepening its presence in the Indian market.

The inauguration of the 500th Franchise store underscores the success of Bata’s Franchise model, a vital component of its expansion strategy. The dynamic approach of this model has enabled the brand to penetrate untapped markets and create entrepreneurship opportunities for local partners. Bata’s Franchise partners have shown a high return rate, further validating the success of the program.
